Hi, I'm Max. I live in Glassell Park. In 2025 I watched the Eaton fire tear through Altadena and thought about all the family photos that burned with it — knowing most hadn't been digitized.
That's why I built Kept by Crows. I take the photos sitting in shoeboxes and turn them into archive-level scans and enhanced versions that go directly into your Google Photos / iPhotos timeline.
I arrive with a white tablecloth, archival gloves, and sorting materials. We sit down together and go through your collection — whether it's a complete mess or you've been diligent in how you've organized things. We organize your photos into batches by event and time of your life.
From there, I take your photos to my studio for scanning and processing. When they're done, I bring everything back in a fireproof, water-resistant case that will resist aging and all the other things prone to damaging photos.
I share with you simple links to download your photos and to upload them directly into your Google Photos and/or iPhotos timelines — where you can build albums, share with friends, and enjoy.
